I am an Associate Professor of Art, specializing in ceramics, at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Ceramics at Kansas State University in 2013. My work ranges from wheel thrown pottery to slip-cast or hand-built sculpture. This work has been shown in numerous nationally and internationally juried and invitational exhibitions. I have attended artist residencies in Virginia, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Shigaraki, Japan.
I am originally from Hartland, WI and have been surrounded by art and teaching my entire life. My parents have a combined 65 years of teaching between them. I received my undergraduate degree in art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. I have taught for 15 years across four states- North Carolina, Kansas, California, and Wisconsin.
When not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our puppy, and our friends and family. As an avid environmentalist who loves nature, I enjoy hiking, running, and disc golf. As a Wisconsinite I am a huge Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and I love attending games when possible.
